Nachdem ich das Thema anfangs nicht besonders ernst genommen habe, sehe ich es mittlerweile verkürzt in etwa so:
Hände waschen & Co., um Andere (und sich) nicht anzustecken.Dadurch wird außerdem die Ausbreitung verzögert. So wird auch das Gesundheitssystem nicht überfordert. Man gewinnt Zeit, um Medikamente und Impfstoffe entwickeln und zulassen zu können.
Hamsterkäufe sind nicht nötig! Eine Lebensmittelknappheit wäre nicht zu erwarten. Trotzdem haben offensichtlich Einige das Gefühl, sie müssten ein Mehrfaches der haushaltsüblichen Mengen zu kaufen. Ziemlich unsolidarisch, wobei genau das jetzt wichtig wäre.
Auf dass die Panik nicht die Überhand gewinnt!

Ich finde den grippevergleich in diesem Zusammenhang nicht gut. Es stimmt zwar, was du schreibst, mit Corona hat das, aber rein gar nichts zu tun. Es führt eher zur verharmlosung. Es geht nicht um die Statistik, es geht um den Schutz anderer und darum, Zeit zu gewinnen.

Die Grippe wütet ja auch und fordert sogar noch mehr Todesfälle, diesbezüglich wird aber nicht so ein "Aufwand" wie im Fall Corona betrieben.
Nur mit dem Unterschied, dass man sich gegen Grippe impfen lassen kann.
Es gibt gegen viele Krankheiten Impfungen, trotzdem lassen sich viele nicht impfen.
