Cartoon Map Upgrade Spot the Pig

nicklyons - Map Upgrade Spot the Pig

Hi!! As I am writing here .. I would just like to say a big thanks to all that have left comment on my work. I apologise for not replying back to all comments individually but to let you know I appreciate your comments very much from you very discerning bunch of guys and girls on ToonsUp. So again - cheers to you all.

So here I am putting up my BIG MAP GIF (best seen full screen 1920dpi) to show the changes i have implemented. I am having to go to print again (fold up brochure and large 50 x 70 cm prints) and as a few places have changed, like the RBS bank has closed and the Eagle Pub has painted their outside. I thought it time for an upgrade. So I did those changes and added tables outside a cafe a waiter outside a restaurant.

Then I thought why not add a few more details. So I trawled through my other cartoons and nicked a few details from them and morphed them into the map. Then I had some other ideas which I had to draw specifically for the map - right angle and detail so I cold melt them in to the pic. (interesting to do but was not always that easy to accomplish).

AND then I thought!! - Why not tidy up all the other details in the map. Even though I drew the Map A2 size, when it came to drawing the tiny details - they were incredibly small. So with the computer I could blow them up and tidy them up and even change/enhance/move them. Also added some subtle colour changes/tricks but are harder to notice in this not full resolution very large Gif.

Also for a bit of trivia. I counted over 130 animals in this painting but not too sure now as I have moved them around, taken them out, back in, back out.

AS for SPOT THE PIG. It has nothing to do with the map - just put it in for a bit of fun - but he is in there. Also for you eagle eyed chaps so is my Frog and snail and even myself painting on my balcony.
