It was just a wild guess, but I also tend to lose the digital reference pictures, if I use them. I try not to anymore, sometimes you want to come back on one and draw it again.

I like how Blob stares in the air here

Well, I usually use a photo as a pattern for new characters. I don't remember exactly, but since this clerk was first used in the strip with Slobby's German-sounding name, it is quite possible I used Angela Merkel for it. :-) But it may be just a coincidence, I hardly remember what I was doing yesterday, so a year ago is sort of blur for me.
